who wants to deal with the heart ache
learned to make yourself feel like the real isn’t fake
even though they prove otherwise
through the actions they take
you strive to believe your heart couldn’t make that mistake
but when years have gone by you make believe its all fate

scared to let go because you’ve held on so long
and you wanna believe your heart is that strong
but you missed
got blinded by a passion filled kiss
and took loved ones remarks as a hater filled diss
even though they showed you more love
than your lover ever did
should’ve listened to the wise ones when they said you’re just a kid
fallin in what you think is love when instead it’s just the comfort you existed in

scared to let go because you’ve held on so long.
and you wanna believe your heart is that strong
but its weak
for the many times you were broken yet chose not to speak
all because that one relationship had hit its peak
and the passion grew so monotonous
that one decided to constantly creep
tried to find your strength cause your lover made you feel weak
so weak that you thought they were the best person you’d ever get to meet

scared to let go because you’ve held on so long.
and you wanna believe your heart is that strong
and its gone
the want to fall deep and belong to love as a pawn
hopes that love could actually heal and fix the scorned
fairytales faked many tales making you think yalls love would always go on
but those were just the exceptions or rhymes in a poem or song
and your dreams of wanting that love were absolutely wrong

time to let go even though you’ve held on so long
your heart has been abused and needs to grow stong
and it will
take time for you so to repair all that’s been ill
make moves to keep your heart and mind from being so still
so they don’t wander from being stagnant
and once again you settle for nill
realize you don’t need another love for your heart to get its fill
learn to let one open you in time and let their real love break the seal

gotta believe in optimism in your new independence
so your heart won’t need a pill as its dependence.
kick depression aside
and learn to explore your pride
as your heart gains strength and endurance from the long trail to happiness ride.

→ 02 Mar 13 at 3 pm thanks to @amorvsdinero for putting me on to this #30daysofstrong challenge. As a kid, I had awful recurring nightmares. At 9, I received this as a gift. My bad dreams didn’t necessarily stop, but I started to gain control over them. To this day, I still am able to sort of control my dreams: good or bad. Whether you believe in things like this or not, always know the mind is a powerful tool. At that age, I believed it would help curve my nightmares so it came to be. This means so much to me, because as I grow, I realize the true meaning behind putting your mind to things and making them happen out of pure belief. Anything.
